Breaking: UGO buys 1up; EGM Magazine Dead

While there may have been rumblings that Ziff Davis was in line to sell, and their sister mag EGM, I don’t think I actually expected it to happen in, almost literally, the blink of an eye. will continue to function, the magazine EGM was not so lucky, and has been pronounced dead at the scene. The January issue, available in stores now, is the last issue for the long-lasting mag.

  1. So many good people

  2. I may not have been the biggest fan of 1up these past few years, but I absolutely HATE to see anybody lose their jobs, especially in this current economy here in the States.

I really hope that the guys and gals at 1up that were let go can find a home elsewhere.

  3. Saddened I am.
