Ghostbusters to get exclusive content for PS3 owners; First choice for developers

Developers Terminal Reality of the upcoming Ghostbusters: The Video Game have revealed that when designing the game, they wanted a platform that would do the license justice. For the longest time, the tech just didn’t seem to match their ambition until the Playstation 3 reared it’s head.

In an interview with PSU, executive producer Brandon Goss explains:

Sony and the talent were adamant that before they got involved with a Ghostbusters game, the tech had to be capable of providing an authentic Ghostbusters experience, and that required graphics and physics tech.

The PS3 is a more demanding system to develop on and it is what the Infernal Engine was designed to exploit from the ground up. With the multiple SPU%u2019s it has onboard a solid multithreaded engine design can really take advantage of that and give you some amazing results.”

The Playstation 3 is the lead platform of development for the title, so Playstation 3 fans all too familiar with shoddy ports shouldn’t have much to worry about.

PSU will have the full interview up later today, so be sure to check it out at the link below. It should also be noted that the Playstation 3 version of the title will be getting exclusive content of a mysterious nature,  but also check out these new screens. The Ghostbusters: The Video Game, is due to bust store shelves in June
