Fallout 3 DLC Finally Hitting Playstation 3, Plus new DLC Announced

Bethesda has announced that the long wait is over for Playstation 3 fans of Fallout 3, as downloadable content that was formerly exclusive to just the PC and 360 versions of the game are now on their way to Sony’s black box.

Operation: Anchorage will hit the PS3 in June, with The Pitt, and Broken Steel following 4 to 6 weeks apart. A new patch will be released for the PS3, to allow it to play the DLC.

There are also two new DLC packs set to release on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 later this year.

Point Lookout – Explore a massive new swampland area filled with new quests and content. Point Lookout will be available in late June for Xbox 360 and PC. Cost will be 800 points or $9.99. It will be available through Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live and through token cards available at retail. Point Lookout will be available on PS3 after the first three DLCs have been released.

Mothership Zeta – The aliens have returned, and they’re pissed. Experience an alien abduction first hand and find out if you’re tough enough to survive. Mothership Zeta is scheduled for release in late July for Xbox 360 and PC. Cost will be 800 points or $9.99. It will be available through Xbox Live and Games for Windows Live and through token cards available at retail. Mothership Zeta will be available on PS3 after Point Lookout.”

Bethesda also plans to release the DLC on disc for the PC and Xbox 360, but the PS3 will only have the content via the Playstation Network. In addition to all of this Fallout 3 DLC madness, Bethesda will release Game of the Year Editions of the title for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, which will include some of the downloadable content, and run $59.99 for the 360, and $49.99 for the Playstation 3.
