Burn, Zombie, Burn Review

I don’t think killing zombies ever gets old, and I think developer Double Six knew this when they crafted this arcadey, colorful, and overall fun game for the Playstation Network.

The premise is simple: Kill zombies. Lots of them. Advance to the next stage, and kill more zombies.

Players take control of two brothers, Bruce and Bruno, as they fend off a horde of brain-hungry zombies, and protect Bruce’s girlfriend, Daisy.

Top 5 Underappreciated Playstation 3 Titles

Posted in Editorials, Playstation 3, PSN with tags , , on March 22, 2009 by Stefano Terry

This generation of gaming has been rather rough for the Playstation 3. Since even before it’s release, it has been the whipping boy of the industry due to “high price,” “lack of games,” “losing exclusives,” “weak online,” “shoving Blu Ray down our throats,” and a myriad of other complaints that have become part of the console’s public perception, despite the questionable validity of those statements.

I won’t get into another discussion about the quality of game reviews these days, but I will say that more than just a few Playstation 3 titles haven’t gotten their dues. Even though some have grown into success over the years, they are generally dismissed by those that have never played them and experienced them for themselves. Without further ado, here are the top 5 most Underappreciated Playstation 3 exclusives. Continue reading

Bioshock 2 to release on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 Simultaneously

Posted in News, PC, Playstation 3, PSN, Xbox 360, Xbox LIVE with tags , , , on March 20, 2009 by Stefano Terry

2K Games has announced that they will release Bioshock 2 on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 simultaneously this fall.

Many fans of the original may remember that Bioshock released on the Xbox 360 in August of 2007, and the Playstation 3 version came over a year later in November of 2008, so this news of a simultaneous release is most certainly welcome.

My confession is that I’ve never actually beaten the first Bioshock (I just recently picked up the PS3 version, and am over halfway done), but I’m still eager to take another trip to Rapture when Bioshock 2 hits store shelves late this year.

New inFamous trailer looks, well, badass

Posted in Game Videos, News with tags , , , on March 12, 2009 by Stefano Terry

It’s no secret that I’m really looking forward to Sucker Punch’s PS3 exclusive superhero romp, inFamous. As it creeps closer to it’s June release date, my excitement for it grows exponentially.

To further torment me, I imagine, Sucker Punch has released a new trailer that is nothing short of…electrifying…*cough*

Bad puns aside, it’s looking hot. I’ve linked to the trailer below instead of imbedding it, because I’m at work. I’ll try and embed when I get home.
